USP Class VI 시험자료는 재질 검토에 활용할 수 있지만, 의료기기 완제품의 생체적합성이나 이식 적합성을 단독으로 보장하지는 않습니다. 같은 재질 계열이라도 컴파운드별로 인증 범위가 다르므로 요구되는 시험 항목을 먼저 확인합니다.For body-contact components, the applicable ISO 10993 test items are checked based on contact site, contact duration and sterilization method. USP Class VI test data can support material review, but on its own it does not establish the biocompatibility or implant suitability of a finished medical device. Certification scope differs by compound even within the same material family, so the required test items are checked first.
고압증기멸균(오토클레이브), EO 가스멸균, 감마선 멸균은 소재에 미치는 영향이 서로 달라, 반복 멸균 횟수와 방식을 알려주시면 적합한 실리콘·EPDM·FKM 컴파운드를 검토합니다. 감마선 멸균은 특히 소재 경화·변색에 영향을 줄 수 있습니다.Autoclave (steam), EO gas and gamma-ray sterilization each affect materials differently — tell us the sterilization method and how many cycles are expected, and we will review the right silicone, EPDM or FKM compound. Gamma sterilization in particular can affect hardening and discoloration.
