본드씰(다우티 씰)은 금속 링과 고무 링을 결합해 만든 와셔 형태의 씰로, 볼트·플러그 체결부에서 축 방향으로 압축되며 밀봉합니다. 유압·오일 배관의 나사 체결부에서 오일 누유를 방지하는 데 주로 사용됩니다.A bonded seal (Dowty seal) is a washer-shaped seal combining a metal ring with a rubber ring, compressed axially at a bolt or plug fitting to seal it. It is mainly used to prevent oil leaks at threaded connections in hydraulic and oil piping.

작동 원리 & 구조Principle & Structure

금속 와셔 표면에 고무를 가황 접착해 일체화한 씰로, 볼트·플러그를 체결하면 고무 부분이 압축되며 좌우 양면을 동시에 밀봉합니다. 금속이 축 방향 하중과 형태를 지지하고, 고무가 실제 밀봉을 담당하는 구조입니다.A rubber element is vulcanized directly onto a metal washer to form a single-piece seal. When the bolt or plug is tightened, the rubber compresses and seals both faces simultaneously — the metal carries the axial clamp load and holds its shape, while the rubber does the actual sealing.
