오일씰은 회전축과 하우징 사이를 밀봉하는 부품으로, 내부 윤활유의 누유를 막고 외부의 먼지·수분 침입을 차단합니다. 고무 립이 회전축에 밀착해 작동하며 회전 운동부 전용입니다. NBR·FKM·실리콘 등 매체와 온도에 따라 소재를 선정합니다.An oil seal is a component that seals the gap between a rotating shaft and its housing, preventing lubricant leakage and blocking dust and moisture from outside. A rubber lip runs in contact with the shaft, so it is used exclusively for rotary motion. Material — NBR, FKM, silicone, etc. — is selected by media and temperature.

작동 원리 & 구조Principle & Structure

금속 케이스에 고무 립을 가황 접착하고, 립 뒤에 가터 스프링(garter spring)을 둘러 축을 향한 조임력을 일정하게 유지합니다. 1차 립이 오일 누출을 막고, 보조(더스트) 립이 있는 타입은 외부의 먼지·수분 유입을 추가로 차단합니다. 케이스는 금속 단독형, 고무 피복형(러버 커버드 OD) 등으로 구분되며, 하우징 재질과 표면 상태에 맞춰 선택합니다.A rubber lip is vulcanized to a metal case, with a garter spring wrapped behind it to maintain constant radial load against the shaft. The primary lip retains lubricant; where a secondary (dust) lip is present, it additionally excludes external dirt and moisture. Cases come in bare-metal-OD and rubber-covered-OD styles, chosen to suit the housing material and bore finish.
