립씰은 얇은 립(lip) 형태의 접촉부가 상대면에 밀착해 밀봉하는 씰의 총칭으로, 오일씰처럼 회전축용부터 왕복운동용까지 폭넓게 쓰입니다. 립의 예압으로 낮은 마찰을 유지하면서도 유체 누출과 이물질 침입을 동시에 차단합니다.A lip seal is a general term for seals that use a thin, flexible lip pressed against a mating surface, ranging from rotary seals like oil seals to reciprocating applications. The lip's preload keeps friction low while blocking both fluid leakage and the ingress of contaminants.

작동 원리 & 구조Principle & Structure

PTFE를 얇은 립(lip) 형상으로 정밀 가공하고, 회전축과 접하는 면을 챔퍼(경사)나 스크레이퍼 형상으로 다듬어 밀봉력과 이물질 배출 성능을 동시에 확보합니다. PTFE 표면조도(마찰계수 약 0.06)가 매우 낮아 무급유 상태에서도 장시간 안정적으로 미끄러질 수 있으며, 필요 시 립 내부에 스프링을 넣어 접촉압을 보강합니다.PTFE is precision-machined into a thin lip, with the shaft-contact edge finished as a chamfered or scraper profile to balance sealing performance with the ability to shed debris. PTFE's very low friction coefficient (around 0.06) lets the lip slide against the shaft reliably for long periods without lubrication; a spring can be added inside the lip where extra, consistent contact force is needed.
