베어링아이솔레이터는 회전축과 하우징이 서로 닿지 않는 비접촉 구조로 베어링을 보호하는 부품으로, 미로(라비린스, Labyrinth) 형태의 밀봉 경로를 이용한다는 뜻에서 라비린스씰이라고도 불립니다. 마모가 없어 반영구적으로 사용 가능하며, 오일 누유 방지와 동시에 외부 오염물질 침입을 차단해 베어링 수명을 늘립니다.A bearing isolator is a non-contact device that protects a bearing without the shaft and housing elements touching each other — because it seals via a maze-like labyrinth path, it is also commonly called a labyrinth seal. Because nothing wears, it lasts virtually indefinitely, preventing oil leakage while blocking outside contaminants to extend bearing life.
작동 원리 & 구조Principle & Structure
회전환과 고정환이 서로 맞물리는 미로(labyrinth) 형태의 미세 간극을 형성하되, 두 부품이 직접 접촉하지는 않습니다. 이 좁고 구불구불한 경로가 물리적 장벽 역할을 해 오염물질의 침입과 윤활유의 유출을 억제하며, 비접촉 구조이기 때문에 마모가 거의 없어 오랜 기간 안정적으로 사용할 수 있습니다. 모델에 따라 O-ring 보조 실링이나 배수 홈을 추가해 밀봉 성능을 높이기도 합니다.A rotating ring and a stationary ring interlock to form a fine labyrinth clearance without ever touching each other. That narrow, winding path acts as a physical barrier that resists contaminant ingress and lubricant loss, and because there is no rubbing contact, wear is virtually eliminated — giving the isolator a long, stable service life. Depending on the model, an auxiliary O-ring or drainage groove can be added to further improve sealing performance.
